About The Authors
Larry Jeffus is a dedicated teacher and author with over twenty years experience
in the classroom and several Delmar Cengage Learning welding publications to
his credit.

He has been nominated by several colleges for the Innovator of the
Year award for setting up nontraditional technical training programs.

He was
also selected as the Outstanding Post-Secondary Technical Educator in the State
of Texas by the Texas Technical Society.

Now retired from teaching, he remains
very active in the welding community, especially in the field of education.
Lawrence Bower is a welding instructor at Blackhawk Technical College, an
AWS SENSE School, in Janesville, Wisconsin.

Mr. Bower is an AWS-certified
Welding Inspector and Welding Educator. In helping to create Welding: Skills,
Processes and Practices for Entry-Level Welders, he has brought to bear an excellent mix of training experience and manufacturing know-how from his work in
industry, including fourteen years at United Airlines, and six years in the US
Navy as an aerospace welder.
